My Journey
A Passion for Healing, Naturally.
My path to becoming an acupuncturist began with my own search for healing.
As a teenager, I developed chronic back pain after a diving injury. After exhausting other treatment options without lasting relief, my mom took me to an acupuncturist. I experienced relief after my very first treatment. With a series of treatments, I was able to get back to the things I loved—jogging, practicing yoga, and swimming—without pain.
What surprised me most, though, wasn't just the relief from my back pain—it was how calm I felt. I hadn't realized how much anxiety and tension I had been carrying until I experienced what it felt like for my nervous system to truly relax. That experience planted the seed that would eventually lead me to become an acupuncturist.
Why I Do What I Do
Helping others has always been at the center of my work. Before becoming an acupuncturist, I spent more than a decade as a sign language interpreter, supporting the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Over time, I realized I wanted to help people in a different way, which led me to pursue a Master's degree in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine.
Today, I am a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in Connecticut and remain fluent in American Sign Language. My goal is to create a practice that is inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to all.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone leave a treatment feeling lighter, more at ease, and more like themselves again. That's why I do what I do—to help people feel better in their bodies.
Whether that means calming and regulating the nervous system, relieving pain, restoring energy, supporting hormonal balance, or naturally refreshing someone's complexion, I love helping people reconnect with how good their bodies are capable of feeling.
I have a special interest in holistic skin rejuvenation because our complexion is a reflection of our overall health and vitality. To me, this work is about so much more than skin deep. When the body is nourished, balanced, and functioning well, that vitality is often reflected in the skin through a healthy, radiant complexion. Helping people experience that transformation—from the inside out—is one of the things I enjoy most about my work.
Why I Love This Medicine
What continues to draw me to East Asian Medicine is its holistic approach. Rather than focusing on a single symptom, it recognizes that every aspect of our lives—including sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, and relationships—plays a role in our health.
Our bodies are incredibly intelligent and have an innate ability to heal, regulate, and restore balance. Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine support those natural processes, helping the body function the way it was designed to. When we're in balance, we sleep better, digest better, move with greater ease, have more energy, think more clearly, and simply feel better.
My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and cared for—a place where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and restore balance so you can feel your best and live well.
