Restore Balance, Renew Vitality

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a foundational part of East Asian Medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years. It is used to relieve symptoms, support the body's natural healing processes, and promote long-term health and well-being.

East Asian Medicine is rooted in the understanding that the body has an innate ability to heal. Rather than viewing symptoms such as headaches, PMS, fatigue, insomnia, back pain, or anxiety as isolated concerns, they are seen as signs that the body is out of balance. Acupuncture works to support the body's natural regulatory processes, restore balance, and encourage healthy function.

Treatment involves the gentle placement of tiny, sterile needles at specific points on the body. These points are selected to help calm the nervous system, improve circulation, relieve pain and muscle tension, and promote an overall sense of relaxation and well-being.

FAQs

Is Acupuncture painful?

Acupuncture is not usually painful.

You may feel new sensations when a needle is placed—such as heaviness, warmth, a dull ache, or a traveling sensation along the meridian. These are normal and often a sign that the point is activated. If anything feels sharp or uncomfortable, or the sensations are new and you aren’t sure if they are normal, let your practitioner know so they can make any necessary adjustments for your comfort.

Most people find treatments to be calming and restorative.

How many treatments will I need?

Acupuncture is not one-size-fits-all.
Each person receives an individualized treatment plan based on their health goals, current condition, and commitment to care. The number of sessions needed depends on the nature and severity of the concern, as well as how your body responds to treatment.

Are Acupuncture needles reused?

No—never.
Every needle used is brand new, sterile, and single-use. After each treatment, needles are safely disposed of in a medical sharps container. Your safety and hygiene are always top priority.
